BREED MONITORSThere is a vast amount of information on the web today and this information is frequently being added to or taken away from as sites are started and then disappear for any number of reasons. Keeping track of all the changes is a very time consuming job. In order to better serve the herding community the stockdog server relies on many people to keep the content current. One group of people that help keep the stockdog server current are the Breed Page Monitors. Breed Page Monitors keep track of information for a specific herding breed (or a group of related breeds) and provide more content for the breed that the server would be able to support without them. Monitors are expected to check regularly that all the links on the breed page work and to inform the server administrator when the links are no longer valid, when important new sites come on line, when new books become available and when other information becomes available or changes. In order to best perform these duties we prefer that the breed monitors be well informed about herding in the breed by being a newsletter editor, relevant committee or board member, news group administrator or administrator of a major herding related site for the breed. Currently monitored breeds are:
If you are interested in being a breed page monitor for a currently un-monitored breed please send E-mail stating which breed you would like to monitor and your connections to the breed. |
